That is the reason why our family’s mission remains the same to this day – to consistently and sustainably grow, pack and ship the most nutritious and flavourful produce in the world.
Currently we grow five different vegetable crops, each with its own unique joys and challenges. Growing onions in winter, sweet-potatoes and butternut-squash in summer, carrots and beetroot all year round, there is really no dull moment on our family farm.
OUR FAMILY’S Roots
Located at the foothills of the Magaliesberg mountains, Langplaas Boerdery has deepened its roots in the unique black soil found mainly in this beautiful valley. We take pride in being one of the largest family-owned farming operations in South Africa. This is where we grow, pack and ship more than 50 000 tons of the most flavourful and mineral dense produce in the world.
It is never just about how much we produce. We firmly believe that a meaningful and fruitful life is built on a foundation f faith, hard work and integrity. Since 1942 when Grandpa started farming, we have known that looking after our soil will set the quality of our produce above the rest, and that doing business with integrity, will ensure the solid trust of our clients. Thankfully this has proven true. After decades of hard work and relentless focus on healthy soil, we are more convinced than ever that this is the only way to excel in what we do.
